Meet Your Doctor

Dr. Liang Wang, MD, MAHM, is a trusted, board-certified internist and traditional medicine practitioner. She obtained her undergraduate biochemistry degree from Rice University, and her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. After completing her internal medicine residency training in Austin in 2005, She started working as a hospitalist, caring for critically ill patients. She realized that with attention to lifestyle and nutrition management, many patients could decrease their hospital admission rates. She spent the next stage of her career caring for patients in the outpatient setting, managing their chronic diseases, and educating them about disease prevention. She also worked as a medical director for nursing homes and rehabilitation hospitals. She understands that both patients and physicians want to achieve maximum health outcomes while minimizing the harmful effects of treatments. With that goal in mind, she obtained an additional master’s degree in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. She provides internal medicine care with a vast subject matter and broad scope of practice. She incorporates acupuncture and herbal medicine to further enhance the quality of life for her patients. She is passionate about using her acupuncture and herbal skills in treating musculoskeletal pain, supporting autoimmune disorders, helping illness recovery, and managing perimenopausal care. She applies a patient-first philosophy. Her practice emphasizes prevention, education, and long-term wellness. She wants to help everyone achieve longevity with vitality.

Dr. Wang relaxes by hiking in nature, visiting botanical gardens, immersing in the arts and music, caring for her pets, and tasting good food with family and friends. She speaks English and Mandarin Chinese.
